Child Safety Standards

Last updated: 23 August 2026

Roulettly has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page sets out the standards we apply, as required by the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy. It is published publicly and is not user-editable.

1. The service is for adults only

Roulettly is strictly reserved for people aged 18 and over. Our Terms of Use state this, and any account found to belong to a minor is deleted. We do not knowingly allow minors on the service, and we do not market it to them.

2. Reporting inside the app

Every conversation carries a report button. One of the reasons a user can choose is explicitly minor, so anyone who believes they are talking to a child can flag it in one tap, without leaving the conversation.

A report captures a still image of the reported participant at the moment of the report. That image is kept only so that a human moderator can decide on evidence, and is accessible to moderation staff only. Images kept after a report or a detection, and moderation recordings, are deleted as soon as a decision is made, and automatically after 14 days at the latest; only the images of an account reported to the authorities are kept for 90 days.

3. What we do with a report

Reports go into a moderation queue reviewed by our team. When a report is upheld, the account is banned. Reports naming a minor are treated as a priority.

4. Reporting to the authorities

Where we identify apparent child sexual abuse material or the sexual exploitation of a minor, we report it to the competent authorities in the relevant jurisdiction, including the national reporting body where one exists, and we preserve the associated evidence for as long as those authorities require.

5. The conversation is not recorded

Video and audio travel between participants through an encrypted relay, and the conversation itself is not recorded or stored by Roulettly. Moderation is the exception, and only ever covers a user's own camera: the images, and the short recording kept for an account already reported, that let a human moderator decide a report are described in the privacy policy.

6. Contact

For any question about our child safety practices, or to reach the person responsible for them, write to contact@roulettly.com.

7. Compliance

We comply with the child safety laws applicable to the service, and we align our standards with the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy. These standards are reviewed as the service evolves.
