You searched for an app. You can start in a web page
Many people who search for apps like Azar are holding a phone, and expect to go through a store, a download and an installation before the first call. Roulettly skips all of that: it runs in the browser you already have.
Open roulettly.com in Safari or Chrome, allow the camera when the browser asks, tick the 18+ box and press Start. Nothing takes up space on your phone, nothing needs updating, and nothing stays behind if you stop using it.
This page is about Roulettly only. The name in the title is the search that led here, and nothing here describes any other app.
On your phone, in three steps
The same on iPhone and on Android.
Open the site
Type roulettly.com in your phone's browser. The first screen is the chat itself, not a sign-up form.
Allow the camera
Accept the browser's request. You see your own preview first, with the front camera, so you can check the framing.
Tick 18+ and press Start
Choose Woman or Man under "You are", leave Everyone under "I want to talk to", tick "I'm 18 or older and I accept" and press Start.
If you would rather have an app
An Android app is published on Google Play. It is the same random video chat, with an icon on your home screen: random video chat on Android explains how to get it.
On iPhone, Roulettly works in Safari, with nothing to install. The page on random video chat on iPhone covers the camera permission and the few settings worth checking.
What you get without installing anything
The browser version is not a trimmed-down preview. You get the whole chat: the interface in 20 languages, matching that gives priority to someone who speaks yours, optional interests under "What you are into", the Next button, and Report and Block on every call.
The basic chat is free and asks for no account. Premium, optional, lets you talk only to women or only to men and adds Strict mode. It requires an e-mail account; nothing else does.
Moderation
Reporting and blocking are on every match. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. It is a random video chat reserved for adults aged 18 and over.
More on how Roulettly works.
Every call goes through an encrypted relay
A signalling server introduces two strangers. After that, video and audio go from your device to our relay, then to the other person's device, for every match.
The stream stays end-to-end encrypted by WebRTC: the relay only forwards encrypted packets, and can neither read nor store them. The other person never receives your IP address, only the relay's. The conversation itself is not recorded.
