Looking for a site like OmeTV?
You typed the name of a service you know and you want somewhere to meet new people on camera, right now. That is a simple need, and Roulettly is built around it: you open the page, allow your camera, press Start, and a stranger appears.
There is no account to create and no email address to hand over. The only permission asked is your camera, and the free video chat stays free. Roulettly is for people aged 18 and over, and a box to tick on the first screen says so before anything starts.
What Roulettly offers
No sign-up
No account, no email, no phone number. Allow the camera and you are in.
Language matching
Interface in 20 languages, and you meet someone who speaks yours first.
Report and block
Both are on every match, and reports are reviewed by our moderation team.
Apps like Ome TV: web and Android
If what you want is an app on your phone, Roulettly has an Android app published on Google Play. If you would rather not install anything, the site works in the browser of your phone or computer, with the same screen and the same buttons.
On an iPhone, open roulettly.com in Safari or Chrome. Nothing to download, nothing to update, and when you close the tab the session is over. The page is made for a thumb: one tap to start, one tap on Next to move on to someone else at any moment.
Your first call in three steps
The start screen follows the same order every time.
Turn on your camera
Press the camera preview and accept the browser prompt. You see yourself before anyone sees you.
Set what you want
Say whether you are a woman or a man, keep "Everyone" selected, and add a few interests if you like. They are optional and help place you in front of someone who shares your tastes.
Tick the box and start
Confirm that you are 18 or older, press Start, and the first match begins. Press Next whenever you want someone else.
Why no account changes the experience
An account is not just a form. It is a record that ties every conversation you have to an identity, kept on a server you do not control, usually joined to a social profile. In a product whose whole appeal is talking to someone who knows nothing about you, that is a strange thing to require first.
Roulettly asks for none of it. The other person sees your video, your sound, your nickname if you chose one, the gender you indicated and your country flag. They do not see an email address, because none was ever collected, and there is no profile to fill in.
Meeting people who speak your language
The interface comes in 20 languages: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Arabic, Persian, Hindi, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.
Matching gives priority to someone who speaks the same language as you, without making it a wall. If nobody fits, you are not left waiting for ever: the search widens. Interests work the same way, as a hint rather than a filter.
Moderation
Reporting and blocking are on every match. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, and Roulettly is a random video chat reserved for adults aged 18 and over.
More on how Roulettly works.
Every call goes through an encrypted relay
A signalling server introduces two strangers. After that, video and audio go from your device to our relay, then to the other person's device, for every match.
The stream stays end-to-end encrypted by WebRTC: the relay only forwards encrypted packets, and can neither read nor store them. The other person never receives your IP address, only the relay's. The conversation itself is not recorded.
