On the first screen, "What you are into" accepts a few interests, such as music, games or travel. It is optional.
Matching does the rest
A few words help put you in front of someone who shares your tastes. It is a nudge, not a promise of a perfect match.
Or leave it empty
If you fill in nothing, matching stays fully random. Both ways are free.
Language and country
The interface comes in 20 languages. Matching gives priority to someone who speaks yours, and connects you with someone else if nobody is available in it. The flag of each person's country shows during the call, a handy conversation starter.
What the first screen asks
Turn on your camera and check your preview. Choose "You are", then "I want to talk to" (Everyone is free), add a nickname if you like, and press Start. Next brings someone else whenever the conversation runs dry.
No account, email, phone number or password is needed for the free chat. Before you start, you tick "I am 18 or older and I accept" the terms.
Every call goes through an encrypted relay
A signalling server introduces two strangers. After that, video and audio go from your device to our relay, then to the other person's device, for every match.
The stream stays end-to-end encrypted by WebRTC: the relay only forwards encrypted packets, and can neither read nor store them. The other person never receives your IP address, only the relay's. The conversation itself is not recorded.
Moderation
Reporting and blocking are on every match. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. It is a random video chat reserved for adults aged 18 and over.
